Volunteers and Staff

Volunteers: Our valuable volunteers help non-
exclusively with the following types of tasks:
Sorting food
Unloading of trucks on delivery days
Food Distributions: Signing in clients/Giving out
distribution lists/filing:Stocking tables with food and
hauling back up food
Helping clients collect their food
Carrying food for the elderly/ disabled (when possible)
Helping with minor maintenance
Lifting, weighing, recording and sorting food at Food
Drives
Cleaning

STAFF: Between distributions, staff members order and stock food once it
is received.  Many of the tasks requiring daily attention by employees
include, but are not limited to, the following:
Writing grants and thank you notes
Giving educational presentations
Planning and preparing for distribution days
Attending meetings
Scheduling appointments
Receiving and sorting food donations
Answering phone calls
Recruiting volunteers
Maintaining and upgrading this website and other online sites
Cleaning and maintaining both facilities
 Pick ups for the Food Rescue Program
 Daily open hours (receiving/recording donations, stocking
tables/freezers/coolers and helping new clients)
Bagging/Delivering food for The Totes of Hope Program
Organizing warehouses
Paper/computer work
(graphs/charts/filing/marketing/bookkeeping/statististics)
Preparing for Board Meetings and Food Drives
Moving furniture/heavy lifting
